Shea grew up in Fayetteville, Georgia, and graduated from Atlanta Christian College (now Point University) in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management. He and his wife, Tara, live in Jackson, Georgia, where they raise their four children and actively serve at Glenhaven Baptist Church in McDonough.

As a former member of the Army National Guard, Shea has a special passion for helping military veterans achieve the dream of homeownership—especially through VA home loan programs. He is also an Eagle Scout, and proudly passed that legacy on to his sons, who earned the rank as well.
